About The Position
The Learning Experience is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners. Our Infant Lead Teachers combine attentive care with meaningful early learning experiences. Through individualized routines, sensory exploration, movement, and positive interactions, you’ll help babies feel safe and secure while supporting important developmental milestones.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous professional childcare or early childhood education experience strongly preferred
- Infant classroom experience preferred
- Lead Teacher experience is a plus
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials preferred
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
Responsibilities
- Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant classroom
- Provide responsive care while following individualized feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules
- Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences
- Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development
- Follow safe sleep, sanitation, health, and safety procedures
- Observe developmental progress and maintain required classroom documentation
- Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
