The Assistant Teacher is responsible for creating a positive learning atmosphere that stimulates critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making with children. This role involves assisting in the implementation of the Creative Curriculum and CDE Standards for CCTR classrooms, preparing weekly lesson plans, and promoting an age-appropriate curriculum focused on the needs of each child. The position also requires documenting parent communication, organizing the classroom to support infant and toddler development, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment, and fostering secure relationships with children through primary and continuity of care. The Assistant Teacher will observe and record children's progress, provide meals and snacks, involve parents in classroom activities, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, the role requires reporting to work on time, participating positively in program activities, and performing other assigned duties.
