About The Position

Primrose School of North Meridian is looking for a caring, dependable Infant Assistant Teacher to join our loving infant team. If you have a heart for babies and enjoy nurturing, comforting, and supporting little ones during their earliest milestones, this role may be perfect for you. This position works with infants ages 6 weeks to 15 months and rotates between two infant classrooms, both with small group sizes and a low 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio. At Primrose School of North Meridian, we believe the infant years are incredibly important. We provide the support, training, and environment our teachers need to thrive while giving our youngest learners the best possible start. Requirements

  • Meets Idaho childcare licensing requirements
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs as needed
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about working with babies

Nice To Haves

  • Infant or early childhood experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing loving, responsive care to infants ages 6 weeks to 15 months
  • Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and play
  • Rotate between two infant classrooms while maintaining consistency and strong relationships with children
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
  • Follow safe sleep, health, and licensing guidelines at all times
  • Communicate positively with lead teachers and families
  • Help create a warm, nurturing environment where infants feel safe and secure
