About The Position
Lake Area Discovery Center is seeking a Part-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher to support a preschool classroom at Discovery Center location in White Bear Lake. This role works closely with the Lead Teacher and classroom team to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for infants 6 weeks-15 months old.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in childcare or early education preferred
- Coursework or training in Early Childhood Education or related field is helpful
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and families
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in an infant classroom
- Assist with daily activities and infant care
- Help create a positive, nurturing environment for young children
- Supervise and engage children during play, learning, and care
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Communicate with teaching staff and support classroom planning
- Follow Minnesota DHS licensing guidelines
