CWI is looking for a passionate RN to join our elite team of Nursing Assistant Instructors. Requirements

  • A current, valid, and unencumbered license to practice in Idaho as a licensed registered nurse (RN). License must be in good/current standing without restriction or limitation with the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
  • At least 3 years of clinical practice which may include performing or observing the administrative and clinical activities relevant to nursing assistants in long term/acute health care settings.
  • Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of the Nursing Assistant training course which is provided and includes curriculum, tests, lesson plans, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of a laptop computer, Microsoft office, and projector.
  • Ability to be flexible with certain days when needed to teach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver High-Quality, Student-Centered Instruction Teach the approved curriculum following the course syllabus and learning outcomes.
  • Use current instructional materials, equipment, and technology to support learning.
  • Motivate students to engage actively in classroom, lab, and clinical activities.
  • Provide frequent, constructive feedback on student progress and performance.
  • Ensure Effective Assessment and Classroom Management Evaluate student learning through written, oral, practical, and performance-based assessments.
  • Maintain a professional, disciplined, and supportive learning environment.
  • Address and resolve classroom, teacher, and student issues in alignment with CWI and clinical site policies.
  • Support Program Operations and Compliance Follow all CWI Workforce Development, State of Idaho, and national guidelines and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to manage supplies, requisitions, and correction of deficiencies.
  • Teach at various times and locations to meet program and institutional needs.
  • Demonstrate Professionalism and Continuous Improvement Maintain expertise in the Nursing Assistant subject area and instructional best practices.
  • Utilize online learning management systems and technology tools as required.
  • Model CWI’s values through words, actions, and professional conduct.
