About The Position

The Industry Principal (IP) holds ‘expert’ status within a market sector and region and works as a Growth Coach to our clients. The IP works independently or could manage a small analyst team to drive Frost & Sullivan’s presence in the sector and build a unit of industry expertise to drive growth opportunities. The IP is likely to lead several projects at a time (across GOA & Advisory) and is seen by clients as business advisor and Growth Coach on growth opportunities in a specific market. The IP also plays a key role in developing client relationships.

Requirements

  • Educational background in business, market research, economics, journalism, or technology with an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role next-generation wireless infrastructure and related technologies play in the global mobile communications industry.
  • A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.
  • A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in Economics, Journalism, or Technology.
  • 8 – 9 years of analyst/strategy/consulting working experience within a Research Firm, Consulting and/or Advisory services business environment.
  • The ability to research and write a coherent story in proper English about a topic is critical.
  • A foundational understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modelling (primary/secondary research, coherent story development).
  • A foundational understanding of the global wireless infrastructure and services enablement markets such as industry structure, operational practices, and competitive landscapes.
  • Willingness and ability to track adjunct industry opportunities, such as enterprise services innovation, small cells, private wireless networks, and Telecom IT(BSS and OSS). The primary focus, however will be on wireless infrastructure and services enablement markets.
  • Good understanding and excel on developing data deliverables analyzing key wireless infrastructure and services enablement industry metrics.
  • Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the key wireless infrastructure and services enablement industry to become a respected thought leader.
  • The ability to network to create new relationships and to proactively manage on-going relationships to stay relevant to market intelligence needs of the clients.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting business development initiatives that benefit the entire team.
  • An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
  • The desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera.
  • Confident enough to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages advanced primary and secondary research methodologies and maintains a strong network of industry contacts. Conducts detailed market segmentation, forecasting, and in-depth analysis of the global wireless infrastructure and services enablement ecosystem (including 5G/6G, RAN, core, transport networks, edge computing, and managed services), identifying key trends, growth drivers, and emerging technologies.
  • Produces high-quality research deliverables, including reports, data models, dashboards, and client presentations that translate complex market data into actionable insights. Focuses on identifying growth opportunities and contributes to flagship outputs such as Frost Radars and Companies-to-Action. Actively shapes the direction and content of GOA subscriptions and supports Program Area Managers in strategic planning.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and Growth Coach to clients, leveraging strong strategic thinking and market expertise. Regularly engages with telecom operators, equipment vendors, and technology providers to validate insights and gather primary inputs. Supports Growth Pipeline Dialogues and plays a key role in guiding client decision-making.
  • Builds a strong external presence through social media and thought leadership activities. Delivers analyst briefings, growth opportunity presentations, conference talks, and media engagements. Contributes to think tank sessions and produces impactful content, demonstrating expertise to senior-level audiences.
  • Drives innovation by generating new ideas for GOA topics, products, and services within the wireless infrastructure and services enablement domain. Identifies and evaluates new market opportunities, contributing to the evolution of the Practice Area’s strategy and vision.
  • Partners with the sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities. Contributes to client targeting, account planning, and commercial growth initiatives for the Program and Practice Area.
  • Owns end-to-end delivery of GOA outputs, ensuring high-quality, insightful content across converging markets. Applies deep domain expertise to deliver differentiated and high-value analysis.
  • Supports the development of Best Practice Awards based on research insights, advisory work, and ongoing industry engagement. Contributes to award creation and participates in client presentations and award ceremonies.
  • Leads the development of Frost Radar deliverables within areas of expertise. Engages clients in discussions around benchmarking and effectively communicates the strategic value of the Radar framework.
  • Leads and manages client engagements through GOA interactive hours, delivering compelling presentations and actionable growth recommendations by leveraging broader Practice Area insights.
  • Contributes to advisory engagements as a lead analyst or project manager where domain expertise adds value, supporting impactful client outcomes.
  • Supports content-driven marketing initiatives as a subject matter expert, contributing to deliverables such as whitepapers, videos, and other thought leadership assets.
