About The Position

PTC is a global company that is transforming industries by connecting the physical and digital worlds. This Industry Principal (IP) role is a strategic position focused on driving growth and market strategy within the Electronics & High-Tech vertical. The IP will act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams, leveraging deep industry expertise to create pipeline, expand strategic accounts, and foster long-term growth. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Partners, Services, and executive leadership to align PTC's solutions and go-to-market strategy with industry priorities. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the Electronics & High-Tech industry (semiconductor, industrial electronics, networking, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or high-tech manufacturing) and a strong understanding of product development and market introduction processes. Experience in areas like product development, engineering, manufacturing, software development, systems engineering, PLM, digital engineering, or supply chain transformation is highly valued. Candidates should possess executive credibility to engage engineering and business leaders as a trusted advisor, coming from industry, strategic consulting, or Global Systems Integrators. The IP will define scalable go-to-market strategies, influence solution direction, strengthen executive relationships, and position PTC as an industry leader. Success will be measured by the ability to shape executive conversations, create early-stage opportunities, influence strategic accounts, and accelerate pipeline growth.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience within the Electronics & High-Tech industry in leadership, consulting, engineering, product development, manufacturing, digital transformation, or enterprise software, with the credibility to engage executive stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
  • Knowledge of PTC's solution portfolio and experience applying digital transformation technologies within the industry preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Electronics & High-Tech trends, including software-defined products, semiconductor supply chains, digital engineering, AI-enabled product development, model-based systems engineering, digital thread, cybersecurity, and manufacturing transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive and C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles and strategic account growth.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate business priorities into strategic technology and transformation discussions.
  • Established network of executive relationships across Electronics & High-Tech manufacturers, strategic partners, consulting organizations, and industry associations.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer and industry engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted industry advisor to customers, sales teams, and executive leadership.
  • Engage C-level stakeholders to identify business challenges, transformation priorities, and strategic opportunities.
  • Drive early-stage pipeline creation and strategic account engagement across priority accounts.
  • Develop scalable industry go-to-market plays, messaging, and executive engagement strategies.
  • Partner with account teams on strategic account planning, stakeholder mapping, and opportunity progression.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Services, and Partners to align industry priorities and influence roadmap direction.
  • Build strategic relationships with partners and Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) to drive aligned go-to-market execution and customer outcomes.
  • Represent PTC at customer meetings, executive briefings, conferences, and industry events to elevate thought leadership and market awareness.
  • Provide industry insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to strengthen solution positioning and strategy.
  • Mentor and enable GTM teams on industry trends, business value messaging, and executive engagement.
