About The Position

Career, Alumni & Industry Engagement (CAI) at the Kogod School of Business seeks a part time employee to serve as Industry Engagement Programs Coordinator, under the supervision of Applied Learning & Employer Engagement Specialist. Providing end-to-end planning, outreach, and execution, services for confirmed employer engagements: the Finance/Marketing Treks, BAE Treks, and the Career Expo/Fair. The employee will support the Applied Learning & Employer Engagement Specialist with the full lifecycle of the two treks — from employer outreach and itinerary design through on-site execution and student interaction — and will additionally provide employer outreach, program management, and on-site execution for the Career Expo, coordinating closely with the Industry Engagement team.

Responsibilities

  • Planning Trek & Career Expo Infrastructure: Trek plans and run-of-show for the Finance/Marketing Trek (Sept 6 - 7) and the BAE Trek (Sept 14 - 15), including itineraries, timelines, and milestone schedules. Career Expo (Fair) program plan for September 17, including event format, floor plan/layout, exhibitor schedule, and staffing plan. Employer/host-site confirmations and target list for both treks, and employer/exhibitor target list for the Career Expo, aligned to Kogod's Master Employer List and CAI industry priorities. Logistics templates and transportation plan for both treks (routing, host confirmations, day-of schedules). Student recruitment, application, and selection process for each trek. Per-event budget framework and expense-tracking structure for both treks and the Career Expo.
  • Employer & Host-Site Outreach: Outreach to confirm and finalize host companies for both treks, including speaker line-ups and site access arrangements. Employer/exhibitor outreach and recruitment for the Career Expo, including registration, table/booth assignments, and confirmations. Negotiation and confirmation of trek logistics with host organizations (scheduling, agenda, access requirements). Relationship management with alumni, employer, and industry contacts supporting trek hosting and Career Expo participation. Monthly outreach status report summarizing confirmed hosts/exhibitors and readiness for each event.
  • Student Connection & Trek Execution: Under the supervision of the Applied Learning & Employer Engagement Specialist, Schedule pre-trek coaching sessions covering company research, professional presence, and networking preparation for both treks. Determine and train on-site execution and chaperoning of the Finance/Marketing Trek (Sept 6 - 7) and the BAE Trek (Sept 14 - 15), including day-of logistics, timing, and issue resolution. Post-trek debrief sessions and structured student feedback collection for each trek. Trek execution report for each trek: attendance, employer feedback, and student outcomes.
  • Career Expo (Fair) Program Management & Execution: End-to-end program management of the Career Expo, including employer/exhibitor confirmations, student registration, and event communications. On-site execution of the Career Expo, including exhibitor check-in, floor management, staffing coordination, and issue resolution. Student preparation materials and pre-event communications to drive attendance and readiness. Post-event report: exhibitor/employer count, student attendance, and participant feedback.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Monthly KPI dashboard covering trek and Career Expo participation, employer conversion, and student engagement outcomes. Per-event and cumulative budget/expense tracking report. Risk and issue log with recommended actions.
