This role is for an Industrial Manager wanted in Moore, South Carolina to ensure the smooth and efficient transition of new equipment and processes into production while maintaining and improving existing processes, ensuring that equipment and technology are state-of-the-art, follow Magna Best Practices, and support Industrial Digitalization, Industry 4.0, and Factory of the Future initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology
  • 24 months of related experience as a Sr. Manufacturing Software Specialist, Industrial Manager or Sr. Software Specialist.
  • The related experience must include coordinating the installation of new equipment for automotive seating component production, ensuring seamless collaboration between equipment suppliers and plant personnel; develop PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems; conduct root cause investigations for complex equipment/system issues for automotive seating production which may involve equipment hardware, PLC, network, MES, or other systems; perform cybersecurity risk assessments of Operational Technology, identify security gaps, translate gaps into concrete plans or mitigation steps, and oversee the execution of security-related projects; apply knowledge of Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems, Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, Supervisory Control, and Data Acquisition security architecting principles to evolve current security architectures that are efficient and meet business needs and acts as liaison for OT-specific incident response and serve as liaison with SOC, incident response teams, vendor, and IT for incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities, manage resources, and collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of equipment across all plant stakeholders.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all EHS policies and procedures, while sustaining conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards, maintaining process documentation, and suggesting procedural improvements as needed.
  • Manage projects for new equipment from design through installation and run-off, coordinate installation with suppliers and plant personnel, and provide support for controls and electrical wiring strategies.
  • Ensure new equipment meets plant specifications and Magna best practices, manage vendors and installers to guarantee compliance and seamless integration with existing systems, and collaborate with IT to integrate Magna MES (MagJIS) with new and existing equipment.
  • Collaborate with other plants and corporate teams to establish best practices.
  • Partner with Operations and Cybersecurity teams to assess OT cybersecurity risks, identify gaps, develop mitigation plans, and oversee execution of security projects.
  • Apply knowledge of Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems, IoT/IIoT, SCADA, and security architecture to enhance security systems, serve as liaison for OT-specific incident response, and support teams through education, coaching, and mentoring in operational technology.
  • Participate in Lessons Learned and Benchmark meetings.
