About The Position

Woodard & Curran is seeking a qualified Industrial Wastewater Plant Manager to lead the operations, maintenance, and management of a wastewater treatment facility for a food & beverage manufacturing client in Horse Cave, Kentucky. The role involves leading staff, managing daily operations, overseeing SCADA systems, implementing maintenance programs, administering repair projects, handling emergency responses, and ensuring regulatory compliance through reporting. The Plant Manager will also coordinate with staff, clients, contractors, and engineering firms, and will be responsible for hands-on work and report production. Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent.
  • Valid Kentucky Driver's License required.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in wastewater treatment facilities, including laboratory.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
  • Experience overseeing a budget of $1.0 million or more.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record with regulators.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Wastewater Treatment Experience is helpful, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operations and management of the facility, including provision of trained staff 24/7.
  • Day-to-day operations and management of the remote communications network and assigned SCADA network.
  • Implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program.
  • Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
  • Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc.
  • Provision of requested / required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
  • Coordination and communication with assigned staff, client representatives, contractors, and any assigned engineering firms.
  • Ensuring effective system operation and optimization.
  • Performing hands-on work and producing all required reports.
  • Coordinating the on-going daily operation of the utility system.
