About The Position

Woodard & Curran is seeking a qualified Industrial Wastewater Plant Manager in Atlanta, Georgia to manage the wastewater treatment operations for a food & beverage manufacturing facility. This role involves leading staff in day-to-day operations, maintenance, management, and administrative duties, while also maintaining close client communication. Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License required.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in wastewater treatment facilities, including laboratory.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
  • Experience overseeing a budget of $1.0 million or more.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record with regulators.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Wastewater Treatment Experience is helpful, but not necessary.
  • Industrial wastewater experience will be a benefit in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operations and management of the facilities, including provision of trained staff 24/7
  • Day-to-day operations and management of the remote communications network and assigned SCADA network.
  • Implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program.
  • Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
  • Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc.
  • Provision of requested / required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
  • Coordination and communication with assigned staff, client representatives, contractors, and any assigned engineering firms.
  • Ensure effective system operation and optimization.
  • Performing hands-on work and producing all required reports.
  • Coordinate the on-going daily operation of the utility system.
