Industrial Warehouse Engineer

Fluidstack
$120,000 - $160,000Onsite

About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, focusing on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them. The company emphasizes extreme ownership, velocity, first principles thinking, and a passion for the problem space. The Logistics Team is responsible for critical problems such as managing material disposition from the dock, replacing outsourced warehousing with owned facilities and processes, and building custom warehouse, inventory, and transportation management systems from scratch to support gigawatt-scale, multi-site builds.

Requirements

  • Designed or re-designed a warehouse layout and can point to the throughput or cost improvement it produced.
  • Run a time and motion study and turned it into a standard work instruction that a new hire could follow on day one.
  • Modeled dock, rack, or staging capacity against real operational data, not rule-of-thumb assumptions.
  • Partnered with a systems team to make sure new software matched a real physical process instead of forcing the process to bend to the software.
  • Ability to go to a site, observe operations, and identify waste not caught by standard reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma or industrial engineering background.
  • Experience in data center, manufacturing, or high-throughput distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with warehouse simulation or layout modeling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design pick, pack, receiving, and RMA workflows for each site's warehouse layout, optimizing for travel distance, throughput, and dock-to-floor time.
  • Run time and motion studies on warehouse and dock processes, and use the data to set the standard work each site trains against.
  • Model rack, dock door, and staging layouts for new and existing sites, balancing throughput against real estate cost.
  • Build the process documentation and standard work instructions that let a new site ramp to full productivity in weeks, not months.
  • Partner with the WMS and IMS system build teams to make sure new tooling matches the physical workflow, not the other way around.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
  • Stock options.
