About The Position

Nesco Data Center is seeking a Data Center Device Rewire Technician to support a medium-term project focused on cooling system components within a data center environment. This role involves performing standardized electrical wire swaps on prefabricated, non-energized (not live) cooling units. The ideal candidate is highly efficient, organized, and capable of executing repetitive tasks with precision across hundreds of devices while maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

Proven experience with basic electrical work, low-voltage wiring, or similar hands-on technical tasks.
Ability to follow repeatable processes with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet project timelines.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly in documentation and logging.
Must provide own tools required for electrical rewiring tasks.
Ability to work independently in a structured data center environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a data center or on mechanical/cooling systems.
Familiarity with structured documentation or asset tracking systems.
Basic understanding of data center infrastructure and best practices.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical wire swaps and rewiring on prefabricated cooling system components.
Follow established procedures to ensure consistency and quality across a high volume of devices.
Safely handle and work on equipment that is not powered or energized.
Maintain detailed logs of all work performed, including device identification, date/time stamps, and scope completed.
Replicate the same scope of work across multiple units with minimal supervision.
Ensure all work meets project standards, safety guidelines, and quality expectations.
Coordinate with project leads to report progress, issues, or discrepancies.
