About The Position

All-Fill, Inc., a leading manufacturer of packaging machinery, is seeking an experienced Industrial Technician to join our Service Department. This hands-on position is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining packaging equipment both at our Exton, PA facility and at customer locations throughout North America, with occasional international travel. The Industrial Technician will provide technical support to customers by phone and on-site while also supporting manufacturing operations through machine assembly, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), machine startup, and controls troubleshooting. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial automation and PLC controls, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial control systems.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical controls, PLC-based equipment, and automated machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial machinery, automation, manufacturing, packaging machinery, or a related industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site service, installation, commissioning, repair, and preventive maintenance for All-Fill packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues remotely via phone, email, and other communication methods.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC/control system issues.
  • Travel to customer facilities throughout the United States and occasionally internationally to support installations, service calls, and equipment startups.
  • Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete accurate and timely field service reports and documentation.
  • Respond to incoming service-related customer calls and provide technical support.
  • Assist the assembly department with machine builds and final machine preparation.
  • Program controls components for spare parts orders and replacement equipment.
  • Prepare and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Troubleshoot and prepare newly built machines prior to shipment.
  • Support machine setup, testing, and commissioning on the manufacturing floor.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Parts departments to resolve technical issues and improve equipment performance.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while following company and customer safety policies.
