About The Position

We are seeking an Industrial IT Systems Administrator / Field IT Support Specialist to support field operations by providing on-site IT, networking, and control system support. This role includes monitoring support tickets, maintaining reliable internet connectivity (Fiber and Starlink), supporting PLC-based control systems, and performing general networking and PC support. The position works closely with field teams and engineers to troubleshoot issues, support system integrations, and ensure consistent, high-availability IT operations across job sites.

Requirements

Experience with networking installation and maintenance.
Proficiency in general PC support and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Internet connectivity technologies such as Fiber Optic and Starlink.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a field environment.

Nice To Haves

Certifications in relevant IT fields preferred: CompTIA A+ and Network+.
Experience working in industrial or field environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor ticketing system for technical support requests, incidents and projects in assigned office, job site and/or region.
Facilitate internet connectivity for new office locations, including setup of routers, firewalls, and initial network configurations to ensure quick and secure onboarding.
Offer general PC support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Ensure reliable Internet connectivity using technologies such as Fiber Optic and Starlink.
Collaborate with field staff, control system engineers, SCADA teams, and management to address IT-related concerns, ensure seamless connectivity, and provide solutions.
Troubleshoot system integration issues and maintain high data availability.
Maintain and update documentation related to IT infrastructure, system architecture, configurations, and workflows.
Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of IT systems.
Assist in the setup and configuration of new IT equipment and systems.
Provide training and support to field staff and operations personnel on IT-related topics and new monitoring tools as needed.
Ensure data reliability, redundancy, and security in system design.
