About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Painter to prepare and paint components and products for protection and appearance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to stand constantly.
• Ability to walk constantly.
• Ability to handle/finger constantly.
• Ability to reach outward constantly.
• Ability to reach above shoulder constantly.
• Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs or less constantly.
• Ability to lift/carry 11-20 lbs constantly.
• Ability to push/pull 12 lbs or less constantly.
• Ability to push/pull 13-25 lbs constantly.

Nice To Haves

• Prior spray paint experience is preferred.
• Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to sit occasionally.
• Ability to climb occasionally.
• Ability to crawl occasionally.
• Ability to squat or kneel frequently.
• Ability to bend constantly.
• Ability to lift/carry 21-50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to push/pull 26-40 lbs frequently.
• Ability to push/pull 41-100 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cleans painting equipment and booth.
• Monitors paint supplies and stock levels.
• Cleans masks and prepares products for painting.
• Selects and mixes epoxy, paints and thinners according to specifications and conditions.
• Cross trains on different job tasks within the department.
• Inspects component and product upon completion of painting.
• Installs appropriate labels and tags to completed product.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 6S practices.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Works overtime as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
