AGI Industries is seeking a driven, customer-focused Industrial Solutions Representative to develop and maintain customer relationships while providing technical solutions that improve equipment reliability and customer performance. This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience in industrial fluid handling equipment and a strong understanding of mechanical seals and rotating equipment applications. The Industrial Solutions Representative is responsible for identifying customer needs, developing technical and commercial solutions, and growing sales within an assigned territory. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in mechanical seals and related rotating equipment products, capable of evaluating application requirements, conducting field visits, and recommending solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, and uptime. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, technical aptitude, and a consultative approach to selling.

Requirements

  • College degree in field of engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in industrial distribution, rotating equipment, reliability services, or related industries
  • Working knowledge of: Mechanical Seals, Pumps and pump systems, rotating equipment, industrial maintenance practices, and fluid handling applications.
  • Experience selling into refineries, chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, power generation, food processing, or other industrial industries preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment data.
  • Ability to exhibit good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent Presentation and listening skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to ensure excellent internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industrial customers across assigned markets and territories.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and lower maintenance costs.
  • Apply working knowledge of mechanical seals, sealing systems, and rotating equipment applications.
  • Conduct plant visits, equipment surveys, and customer meetings to identify opportunities and troubleshoot issues.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and product recommendations based on customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and customer service teams to deliver solutions that meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Support customer startup, installation, and troubleshooting activities when needed.
  • Provide product and application guidance for mechanical seals, pumps, valves, packing, gaskets, and related fluid handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and forecasts within CRM systems.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and profitability objectives.
  • Participate in training, industry events, and manufacturer product development programs.
