About The Position

AIRCO is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cleaner to support its New Britain, Pennsylvania facility. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, organized, and professionally presented common areas for employees, visitors, and vendors. The Cleaner will perform routine cleaning of offices, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, entryways, hallways, and other approved common areas. This position will work closely with Operations and EHS and must follow all AIRCO safety, access, chemical-handling, and restricted-area procedures. This is a permanent, part-time, non-exempt, in-person role based in New Britain, Pennsylvania. The anticipated schedule is approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The final daily schedule will be established based on site needs.

Requirements

  • At least one year of professional cleaning, custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or similar experience preferred.
  • Experience cleaning offices, commercial facilities, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels, or other shared workplaces.
  • Strong reliability, attendance, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules, checklists, product instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently while communicating appropriately with employees and supervisors.
  • Good judgment and willingness to stop and escalate when a condition or material is unclear.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow site-access requirements.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally, with assistance or equipment when appropriate.
  • Ability to communicate in English sufficiently to understand safety instructions, labels, procedures, and emergency information.
  • Employment in this position is conditioned on the candidate’s ability to obtain and maintain appropriate government authorization to access technology or information, to the extent required, including without limitation a security clearance, export license, or other documentation required to establish authorization to receive access to such items technology or information.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, counters, toilets, mirrors, fixtures, and floors.
  • Clean kitchens and break areas, including counters, sinks, tables, appliances, cabinet exteriors, and floors.
  • Clean conference rooms, offices, entryways, hallways, and other approved common areas.
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs and sweep and mop approved hard-floor surfaces.
  • Dust and wipe approved furniture, ledges, doors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Empty general waste and recycling containers and move waste to designated collection areas.
  • Restock restroom, kitchen, and common-area supplies, including paper goods, soap, and related materials.
  • Clean interior glass, doors, and other approved surfaces as needed.
  • Complete periodic cleaning tasks and deeper cleaning of approved areas according to an established schedule.
  • Help ensure common areas are clean, stocked, organized, and ready for daily use.
  • Monitor cleaning and paper-product inventory and notify the appropriate Operations contact when supplies need to be reordered.
  • Store cleaning supplies and equipment in designated locations.
  • Report damaged fixtures, leaks, pest concerns, supply shortages, trip hazards, or other facilities issues.
  • Support limited room resets or light common-area organization when requested.
  • Follow AIRCO’s site safety procedures, access requirements, housekeeping standards, and emergency protocols.
  • Use only AIRCO-approved cleaning products, equipment, and methods.
  • Follow product labels, safety data sheets, dilution instructions, PPE requirements, and chemical-storage procedures.
  • Never mix cleaning chemicals or transfer products into an unlabeled container.
  • Place appropriate warning signage around wet floors or active cleaning areas.
  • Report spills, exposures, injuries, damaged containers, or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain awareness of restricted areas and stop and ask for direction when an area, material, or task is unclear.
