About The Position

The Sewing Machine Operator operates and maintains Adler and Miller Weld Master industrial sewing machines to assemble fabric for ducting production. This role is a full-time position with a salary range of $17.00 - $18.00 per hour. The shift is the 2nd shift, requiring availability from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Proficiency in reading gauges
Proficiency in using tape measures
Ability to read specifications
High attention to detail
Good hand-eye coordination
Active listening skills
Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)
Ability to assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs. in adherence with Midwest Hose Safety Standards
Ability to learn and think quickly
Energetic, outgoing, and positive attitude
Good organizational skills
Reliable and dependable
Team-player
Ability to prioritize and manage time
Regularly required to talk and listen; sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
Must be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumes
Commitment to work additional hours as needed
High school diploma or GED (required)
Manufacturing experience (required)
