Altrad Sparrows is looking for an Industrial Service Helper to support our mechanics and technicians in the assembly, inspection, and repair of industrial equipment and components. This role is ideal for candidates with industrial plant experience who want to grow their career in a leading maintenance and engineering services company. Requirements

  • Exposure to hydraulic and mechanical assembly is desired.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components.
  • Assist mechanics with assembly, inspection, and repair of equipment in industrial facilities.
  • Prior mechanical and hydraulics experience is required.
  • Comply with all Safety and Environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain proper use of company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Must live in the Baton Rouge / Port Allen area.
  • Familiar with and follows the Company's Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
  • Takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems to maintain our system certification.
  • Candidates applying for U.S. based positions must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics with assembly, inspection, and repair of equipment in industrial facilities.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Comply with all Safety and Environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain proper use of company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to the HSE(Q) Department Manager.
  • Follow all Company policies, procedures, guidelines, control measures, signage and permit conditions and to know what to do in an emergency.
  • Responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
