About The Position

DZYNE Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Security Specialist to augment our security staff. The Industrial Security Specialist will support the Corporate Facility Security Officer and local FSOs in managing personnel security, safeguarding classified information, and ensuring compliance with government security requirements. This role is critical to maintaining DZYNE’s safeguarding posture and supporting classified programs in accordance with NISPOM and DCSA directives. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of facility security, information systems security, and program-level operations. Reporting directly to the Corporate Facility Security Officer, the Industrial Security Specialist will collaborate closely with local FSOs, the ISSM, and program managers to ensure comprehensive security compliance and operational support. This role provides exposure to multiple security disciplines – physical security, personnel security, and information assurance – while supporting classified programs from design through execution. By working across these areas, the Industrial Security Specialist will gain valuable experience in safeguarding requirements, program security classification guidance, and system security responsibilities, making this position ideal for professionals seeking a dynamic and impactful career in industrial security.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and a SECRET clearance (with eligibility for Top Secret).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4 or more years previous experience managing U.S. Security Clearances in Industry or DoW (DoD)
  • High school diploma
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with NISPOM, safeguarding requirements, and PERSEC processes.
  • Experience with DISS, NBIS, and SWFT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Personnel Security (PERSEC) Management:
  • Initiate, maintain, and track security clearances using DISS, NBIS, and SWFT.
  • Review and process documentation for SCI and SAP nomination processes.
  • Maintain PERSEC databases and prepare/administer program indoctrination and debriefings.
  • Access, review, and submit clearance and access information using appropriate government systems.
  • Safeguarding Compliance:
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and destruction of classified material in accordance with NISPOM Chapter 5.
  • Assist in self-inspections per NISPOM and support facility inspections and accreditation requirements.
  • Physical Security & Access Control:
  • Coordinate physical security measures and access control systems with onsite security guards.
  • Manage and maintain employee badging systems across multiple locations, ensuring accurate access permissions and compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain access logs and badge systems for compliance.
  • Insider Threat Program Support:
  • Assist in insider threat reporting and investigations in accordance with DCSA requirements.
  • COMSEC Management:
  • Potential to serve as COMSEC custodian or alternate, managing cryptographic material and compliance with NSA/DOD standards.
  • Mandatory Reporting:
  • Ensure cleared personnel comply with compulsory reporting requirements, including foreign travel, foreign contacts, and any reportable incidents per NISPOM and DCSA guidelines.
  • OPSEC Program Support:
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and reporting of the Operations Security (OPSEC) program, ensuring protection of critical information and compliance with DoD and company policies.
  • Program-Level Support:
  • Provide support for classified contracts at the program level, including interpreting and applying Security Classification Guides (SCG).
  • May serve in an ISSO role for assigned programs from design through execution, ensuring compliance with security requirements throughout the lifecycle with support from DZYNE ISSM.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with the Corporate FSO and local FSOs to implement security policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to DCSA and other government agencies.
  • Training & Awareness:
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training for cleared personnel.
  • Incident Response:
  • Report and assist in investigating security violations or incidents in accordance with DCSA guidelines.
