About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Oklahoma City, OK. The Industrial Security Specialist will provide comprehensive security support for a complex laboratory environment by ensuring adherence to Internal Security Controls and conducting self-inspections to maintain compliance with government and company regulations and requirements.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 3+ years of experience working with the National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM), NISP and Special Access Programs
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring media and equipment are maintained in compliance
  • Identifying security deficiencies and recommending corrective actions
  • Conducting Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes, and situations in accordance with established procedures to assess non-compliance levels with government and company regulations
  • Supporting the Communication Security (COMSEC) team as needed
  • Protecting government, intellectual property, third-party, and company information from unauthorized disclosure through the development, implementation, and administration of an Operational Security program, including security education, procedures, and physical controls for less complex programs
  • Ensuring Personnel Security is in compliance by managing databases, reviewing files, conducting interviews, submitting documentation to customers, and scheduling briefings to facilitate individual security clearances and access for standard customer requirements
  • Conducting security awareness training and education programs (e.g., briefings, bulletins, visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property, and information
  • Performing Physical Security duties within Boeing facilities, including completing fixed/closed facility checklists, surveying areas, and reviewing and approving facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas to ensure compliance with company and government regulations
  • Participating in enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams as requested
