About The Position

The Industrial Security Specialist will support the Personnel Security team by interpreting and applying DoD policies, guidance, and procedures in alignment with company policy to ensure compliance across a large cleared employee population. This role is integral to maintaining personnel security requirements throughout the full clearance lifecycle. Core responsibilities include conducting indoctrinations and debriefings for DoD accesses, verifying citizenship, processing personnel clearances, submitting visit requests, preparing adverse and reportable submissions, and performing all actions necessary to support cradle‑to‑grave clearance management. Additional duties include assisting with the identification of security risks and contributing to the implementation of effective and efficient mitigation solutions. This is an entry‑level, salaried professional contributor role reporting to the Local Site Security (LSS) Manager for day‑to‑day activities. The position is based on site at the McKinney, TX facility.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft products
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related fields of study
  • Experience in Personnel Security
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; working knowledge of Access Commander and E-security along with Microsoft Office Products
  • At least 4 years of National Security Experience preferred; administrative and office management background skills
  • Related training to Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) including Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

Responsibilities

  • Administering the security procedures, as they relate to operating in a classified environment: Clearance Processing and Management, Clearance Verifications, Classified Visit Processing, Fingerprinting, and DISS Updates
  • Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports specifying the potential for loss or compromised and the associated risk to classified information (e.g., Adverse Information Report Writing)
  • Provide customer service to employees related to personnel security questions and actions (e.g., Travel Reporting, Self-Reporting)
  • Work in a fast-paced schedule driven program with little management oversite
