About The Position

Verity was founded with a focus on providing advanced science and technology and business management services to commercial and government clients. Our team includes engineers and analysts with subject matter expertise in domains that span software development, simulation technologies, experimentation support tools, and systems analysis methodologies. Additionally, we have applied expertise in emerging threat evaluation, analysis, and simulation. These capabilities have been successfully applied to not only Science and Technology (S&T) programs, but also major weapon system acquisition programs and gap-filling warfighter solutions. We are seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to help serve our Security Solutions clientele.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the FSO Curricula for Possessing Facilities within 6-months of the hire date.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in an independent or team environment with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting government contractors or defense organizations.
  • Familiarity with security management systems and government databases.
  • Professional security certifications (e.g., ISP, CPP, or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification).
  • Experience with insider threat, operations security (OPSEC), and cybersecurity awareness programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the capability for submitting, tracking, and maintaining Personnel Security Clearances via the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Assists with classified document control for incoming and outgoing classified material and courier briefings, and other duties as needed (DISS, NISS, Fingerprints, metrics, training, and briefings).
  • Assists in maintaining overall compliance with all facets of 32 CFR Part 117/National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Assists the Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Director of Security Solutions with all administrative duties as assigned.
  • Provides responsive customer support to government and commercial clients by coordinating personnel security actions, processing visit requests, and ensuring timely completion of security documentation in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Serves as a liaison between clients, government security offices, and internal program teams to facilitate onboarding, maintain security compliance, and resolve administrative security matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Adheres to and implements policies, practices, and procedures of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Reviews and implements security plans, documentation, and briefings.
  • Initiates and reviews the security clearances process for initial and periodic reinvestigations.
  • Creates and maintains employee security files.
  • DD254 preparation and communication to the customer base as needed.
  • Prepares and submits status reports to applicable government agencies, with review as appropriate from security management and/or Company management.
  • Prepares and administers program indoctrination and debriefings.
  • Performs document control, container audits, and Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Creates and conducts initial security briefings, debriefings, pre/post foreign travel briefings, and refresher briefings, as appropriate.
