About The Position

The Industrial Security Specialist II will support the Document Control team by interpreting and applying DoD policies, guidance, and procedures in alignment with company policy to ensure compliance across a large, cleared employee population handling classified. This role is integral to maintaining security requirements throughout collateral classified spaces at the McKinney Facility. Core responsibilities include conducting identification of security risks and contributing to the implementation of effective and efficient mitigation solutions that pertain to collateral closed areas and accountability for classified materials. To include the handling and shipping of collateral classified material, and maintenance of combinations for doors/safes. It’s to be noted that this position may require courier duties between multiple facilities in North Texas depending on the volume of work.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Products
  • Experience with NISPOM (32 CFR 117)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related fields of study
  • Experience in Personnel or physical security
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; working knowledge of Access Commander and E-security along with Microsoft Office Products
  • At least 4 years of National Security Experience preferred; administrative and office management background skills
  • Related training to Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) including Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a working knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR 117), designated contract security classification guides (SCGs), and other customer mandated requirements
  • Administering the security procedures (NISPOM), as they relate to operating in a classified environment for: personnel processing, medial control, marking and control of documents/materials, security education, visitor control, and destruction of classified
  • Support specialized procedures for the transmission of classified and/or proprietary material/information
  • Audit and accountability for classified asset management in Access Commander, or internal system of accountability
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare written reports for FSO
  • Assist with day-to-day interaction with internal customers to include area custodian training updates, and pin/combo changes
  • Be willing/able to assist with personnel security processes (e.g., access lists, RCAST, PCL, visit requests) upon request
