About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Security Manager to join the team in Herndon, VA or Arlington, VA. As our Industrial Security Manager, you’ll own the security posture for programs that matter. You will be overseeing compliance assessments, security inquiries, implementation of controls, and continuous process improvement. You’ll build and execute strategic plans, secure resources, guide technical suppliers, and set operational goals while inspiring and developing a high-performing team. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders across the enterprise, approve technical approaches and products, and shape the policies and procedures that keep sensitive programs safe. Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 10+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Programs
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: SCI, NISP, and/or COMSEC
  • 5+ years of experience with Project Management
  • 5+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives in the Defense and/or Aerospace environment
  • 5+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure the flawless execution of classified security programs at the SCI and other restricted or proprietary levels and achieve all operational goals
  • Lead and mentor employees, perform security administration activities to protect information from unauthorized disclosure, conduct security inquiries, oversee compliance assessments implementation security controls and protecting personnel, information, and equipment
  • Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company program operations
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Assist with team members' professional development and growth
