About The Position

We are seeking an Industrial Security Guard to join our team in Gimli. This role emphasizes customer service and requires working collaboratively in a team-oriented setting across all shifts within an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a valid Manitoba Security license and a strong ability to engage with clients, reassuring them and inspiring confidence.

Requirements

Valid Manitoba Security Guard license
Good verbal and written communication skills
Be a team player
Valid Manitoba driver's license with a clean driving record
Have a reliable vehicle to get to and from work and be able to drive in inclement weather
Customer service oriented
Leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a stressful environment
Be authorized to work in Canada
Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
Ability to wear Safety footwear (CSA or ANSI approved), gloves & safety glasses (supplied by client, Hi Vis Vest /Jacket)

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in the security industry
First aid certification

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment
Monitor traffic (vehicle and pedestrian) through the gates, including grain trucks and alcohol tankers
Perform reception/switchboard duties
Monitor card access door system and 96 cameras
Manage key control
Conduct two vehicle patrols per day during the evening and night shift
Pick up mail in town (Monday and Wednesday evening shifts)
Perform stairs and walking patrols
Control access of entry ways and exit points using available equipment
Perform Mobile Patrol and Foot Patrol at the Premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
Enforce Property regulations and city By-Laws on the client's site
Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
Complete Daily reports and Incident Reports
Provide excellent customer service
Perform customer service duties such as welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors
Manage access control
Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
Answer questions in person or by phone
Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
