About The Position

We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as an Industrial Scrap Metal Resource Driver. This role involves short-haul CDL driving and operating equipment to support production and operations. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 months related experience and/or training
• Level 2 qualified
• Experience driving tractor trailer and operating heavy equipment is required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to complete necessary documentation.
• Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to understand and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of metric system.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Basic computer skills including word processing.
• Basic understanding of machine operation and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor transfer reports and move coils as needed for production/operations.
• Complete daily log sheet of work completed during shift.
• Follow all written instructions to perform job duties properly and safely.
• Operates equipment as needed to perform job duties.
• Ensures data is entered into the computer system(s).
• Performs visual checks of product to ensure all applicable standards are met.
• Performs all work in a safe manner and ensures safety in the work area.
• Participates in the Kaizen (continuous improvement) program.
