About The Position

Maddox is seeking an Industrial Sales Representative (Inside Sales) to join their sales team. This role involves using established sales processes to assist commercial and industrial end-users, electrical contractors, and resellers in purchasing the correct transformer for their projects. The position requires responding to customer requests, understanding their needs, and proposing technical and commercial solutions. It also involves proactively following up with existing clients and maintaining communication with industry contacts, rather than cold-calling or hard-selling. This is an inside sales role for someone who is technically minded, enjoys interacting with people, and excels at customer service for contractors, engineers, purchasing agents, and industrial/commercial end users.

Requirements

Ability to interact with people and solve technical and commercial problems.
Excellent communication skills via phone and email to impress clients across the country.
Fantastic written communication skills; ability to maintain many email conversations daily.
Focus and good attention to detail.
Savvy with modern software; not suited for an "old school" workflow.
Preference for a healthy team environment over operating as a lone wolf.

Nice To Haves

20+ years of related experience.
Technical and engineering degrees may be desired, but not required.
