About The Position

Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers for over 100 years. The Shop Industrial Robotic Blaster/Painter will possess robotic and manual skills in blasting and painting. This role requires the ability to measure and record blast profiles, meet basic organizational and completion needs for work, and steadily increase efficiency. The individual will be accountable for safety, quality, production standards, and goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience with industrial equipment, robotics, or automated machinery.
Goal-oriented, reliable, responsible for their actions.
Able to accept responsibility for others in the work area.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Adhere to Maguire’s PPE Policy and Safety Programs.
Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
Use of PPE (respirators, protective suits, hearing protection).
Must be able to see details at close range.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be able to traverse construction sites by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial robotic sandblasting cells, including robot controllers and HMIs.
Load, select, and verify blasting programs and process recipes.
Monitor robotic motion, blasting parameters, and cycle execution.
Verify blast pressure, abrasive flow rate, and nozzle condition.
Monitor surface coverage, finish quality, and dwell time.
Adjust process parameters within defined limits to meet specifications.
Set up workpieces, fixtures, or positioners.
Assist with part changeovers and program selection.
Perform routine preventive maintenance (filters, nozzles, hoses).
Identify and respond to system alarms and faults.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Ensure material coming into and going out of work area(s) is properly identified.
Understand and operate overhead hoists.
