This facility operates five days a week with the potential for overtime and produces Taco Shells and Tortillas. ATTN Prior Tyson Workers: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment. This position works either 6:00am – 6:00pm or 6:00pm – 6:00am on a rotating schedule. Current Pay Level Range: $25.70 - $36.70 per hour Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing mechanical support to the facility. This support includes but is not limited to mechanical troubleshooting (to include electrical), mechanical repairs, modification of equipment, preventive maintenance, and installation of equipment in the area of the ammonia refrigeration system and HVAC.

Requirements

  • 3 years of Refrigeration experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds (with assistance), climb tall ladders, bend, and crouch, and perform tasks while working from elevated platforms.
  • Must be able to complete Level 1 Operator training.
  • Must complete the maintenance training program to L4 within the designated time frame.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.
  • Providing mechanical support to the facility.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting (including electrical), mechanical repairs, modification of equipment, preventive maintenance, and installation of equipment in the area of the ammonia refrigeration system and HVAC.
  • Performing repairs on various equipment within the facility, both production and non-production-related.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns.
  • Completing assigned work orders and documenting them in the SAP maintenance system.
  • Welding and fabricating as needed.
  • Monitoring the ammonia system to ensure proper functioning.
  • Repairing air compressors, water systems, A/C heat units, etc.
  • Being lock out/tag out certified, confined space certified, fall protection certified, and forklift certified.
  • Being part of the HAZMAT team and able to pass the Respirator Level 4 physical annually.
  • Completing Level 1 Operator training.
  • Completing the maintenance training program to L4 within the designated time frame.
