About The Position
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial pumps, valves, and rotating equipment. The technician will be responsible for disassembling, fixing, and reassembling various types of pumps, as well as performing routine preventative maintenance. A key part of the job includes interpreting technical documentation and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance. The position also requires travel to client sites for on-site troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years as an industrial pump mechanic.
- Strong familiarity with ANSI, vertical turbine, plunger, submersible, and gear pumps.
- Skilled using micrometers, dial indicators, and alignment tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional on-call shifts.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot industrial pumps, valves, and rotating equipment.
- Disassemble, fix, and reassemble centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
- Execute routine preventative maintenance schedules.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer manuals.
- Verify pump performance and pressure metrics post-repair.
- Travel to local client sites for on-site troubleshooting.
