Why this role You want first-shift, hands-on work rebuilding rotating machinery You excel at precision measurement and holding tight tolerances You enjoy interpreting blueprints and schematics to plan complex assemblies You’re confident using overhead cranes, forklifts, and a variety of tools What you will tackle Full overhaul of horizontal and vertical pumps: diagnose faults, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work steps and construct foundations for pump assembly and disassembly Operate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools safely and efficiently Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and clearances Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy Rig and move components using overhead cranes and forklifts Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 7+ years as a pump mechanic or similar role with large pumps/rotating equipment Proficiency with hand and power tools; overhead crane and forklift operation Ability to read measurement tools and communicate findings clearly Strong oral and written communication, manual dexterity, control precision Critical thinking and deductive reasoning; able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 7+ years as a pump mechanic or similar role with large pumps/rotating equipment
- Proficiency with hand and power tools; overhead crane and forklift operation
- Ability to read measurement tools and communicate findings clearly
- Strong oral and written communication, manual dexterity, control precision
- Critical thinking and deductive reasoning; able to lift up to 50 lbs
