Requirements

High School or GED/Vocational School
Valid state issued license is required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possession of a DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
Hands on mechanical proficiency
Ability to operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools
Experience in repairing damaged equipment back to working order by applying mechanical knowledge to problem solve
Ability to operate automated lifting equipment
Ability to lift and move 50+ pound objects
Keep management informed of work and backlog
Pre-employment drug and background screening required

Nice To Haves

Two years of mechanical experience preferred
Additional on-the-job training is available

Responsibilities

Dismantle and inspect all equipment to include submersible, centrifugal, split case, and vertical pumps
Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials
Help to develop machine shop expansion
Cross train in repairing mechanical seals (will train)
Test completed pumps according to written procedures
Maintain a neat and orderly shop
Know, understand, and abide by environmental and safety policies
May be responsible for providing back up driver duties and responsibilities
Occasionally assist in deliveries to customers
