About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Pipefitter to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems and related equipment within an industrial environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint-reading skills, and experience working with steam systems, valves, and industrial piping. The ideal candidate can independently plan and execute pipefitting work while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and equipment reliability.

Requirements

  • Previous industrial pipefitting, mechanical maintenance, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems and layouts.
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, piping prints, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with steam systems and associated piping components.
  • Understanding of relief valves and general valve maintenance practices.
  • Ability to safely operate pipefitting, fabrication, and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to calculate material requirements and perform accurate measurements.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a maintenance and operations team.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Pipe welding experience.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing or processing facility.
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on steam and process piping.
  • Additional welding, fabrication, or mechanical maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize pipefitting projects using blueprints, mechanical drawings, diagrams, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Measure, cut, bend, shape, fabricate, thread, solder, and glue piping and related components.
  • Install, modify, and insulate industrial piping systems.
  • Calculate material requirements and identify appropriate piping, fittings, valves, and related components.
  • Coordinate installation and maintenance activities with affected departments to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Perform operating and pressure-related tests to verify proper system performance.
  • Diagnose and repair leaks, failures, and other piping system issues.
  • Troubleshoot steam systems, valves, piping components, and related mechanical equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on piping systems and associated equipment.
  • Support relief valve and general valve maintenance activities.
  • Maintain tools and equipment through preventive maintenance and proper care.
  • Identify potential equipment or system issues before they result in failures or downtime.
  • Follow established safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
  • Properly document completed work and communicate equipment conditions to maintenance leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in required safety and technical training.
