We are looking for a seasoned Industrial Pipe Fitter to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate will have a proven ability in laying out, assembling, installing, welding and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports for hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial production and processing systems. Serving Tampa Bay metro and surrounding areas, we are experts in the Healthcare, Education, and Commercial/Industrial sectors. Our engineers and factory-trained technicians are committed to providing the highest level of service to ensure clients receive reliable, efficient, and cost-effective HVAC solutions. Within our 25,000 square-foot automated facility, Tropic-Kool operates our own fabrication and welding shop to facilitate custom, fast-track projects. In addition, we maintain an extensive HVAC parts inventory to support our world-class service group.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
- 5+ years working as a Pipe Fitter in the HVAC Industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
- Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
- Well versed in a variety of pipe types: aluminum, PVC, steel, compressed air, vacuum, etc.
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
- Cut, thread, and braze pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe-threaders and benders.
