The Industrial Painter is responsible for applying paint and protective coatings to manufactured products to ensure a high-quality finish that meets company and customer specifications. The Industrial Paint will perform surface preparation, operation of spray equipment, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a production environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or automotive/manufacturing finishing
  • Experience with spray equipment (e.g., HVLP, airless spray systems)
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating applications
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or job travelers
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, noise, and varying temperatures

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required
  • Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using spray guns, rollers, or brushes depending on product specifications
  • Mix paints and coatings to correct color, consistency, and viscosity per technical data sheets
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment which include spray booths and curing ovens
  • Inspect finished products to ensure coating quality, thickness, and adherence to standards
  • Perform touch-ups and rework as needed to meet quality requirements
  • Follow work orders, blueprints, and technical instructions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and safety standards
  • Adhere to all OSHA, environmental, and company safety policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and resolve defects
