Summary: Industrial Painter is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and painting fabricated and machined components to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer expectations. The successful candidate will work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience painting industrial machinery, fabricated steel, or large equipment.
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial paint systems and surface preparation techniques.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic shop drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, paint fumes, and varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial painting, powder coating, parts washing, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate parts washing equipment to clean fabricated, machined, and assembled components.
  • Remove grease, oil, dirt, rust, and other contaminants from parts prior to painting or assembly.
  • Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, masking, and other required methods.
  • Mix and apply primers, paints, and protective coatings according to specifications.
  • Operate spray painting equipment and related finishing tools.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality, coverage, and finish requirements.
  • Perform touch-up work as needed to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain paint booths, parts washers, and related equipment.
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and production schedules.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and quality personnel to support production goals.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean work area and comply with all company safety policies and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with other manufacturing duties as assigned.
  • Care for and maintain all paint equipment
  • Order supplies in accordance with business needs
