About The Position

Cogent is a growing, Midwest-based company providing creative and innovative fluid processing solutions to Industrial, Municipal, Commercial Building Trades, and Oil & Gas markets. We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow accounts in a defined territory in Kansas, based out of our Wichita branch. This role focuses on selling centrifugal pumps, mixers, mechanical seals, and rotating equipment to customers in industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Food & Beverage, Water/Wastewater, and other industrial process sectors. If you have experience in industrial sales, technical sales, or process equipment sales, we want to talk to you. Your industry experience is more important than a degree.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical and rotating equipment.
  • Proven B2B technical sales track record.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel ~40%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with centrifugal pumps, mixers, and mechanical seals.
  • Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Food & Beverage, or Water/Wastewater a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of industrial equipment sales accounts.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and expand business with existing B2B industrial customers.
  • Collaborate with inside sales, engineering, and vendor partners to deliver full solutions.
  • Provide consultative sales support and technical recommendations for pump sales and related equipment.
  • Achieve or exceed sales goals while representing Cogent at industry events and customer sites.
