About The Position

This role is on a shift schedule that rotates every 2 weeks from day to night shift. The hours are 7-7 and the schedule is 2-2-3 (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, etc.). In this role, you would respond to mill breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner and work closely with area operators to resolve maintenance-related issues. You will be responsible for taking your safety and the safety of your co-workers as the primary consideration when performing work. You will investigate the root cause of equipment failure and make recommendations for long-term fixes. You will lead the troubleshooting and proper documentation (SAP Notifications) of all maintenance-related items. You will complete assigned work orders or other PM/PD activities based on established priority and confirm completed work timely. You will be responsible for being aware of maintenance issues throughout the mill or assigned area. Collaboration is key to Arauco's success. This role requires collaboration with our operational partners, departmental peers, and direct supervisors.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent industrial or commercial mechanical maintenance experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through formal millwright training.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance practices and lubrication principles.
Experience performing precision maintenance activities, including shaft and bearing measurements, torqueing procedures, V-belt tensioning, and laser alignment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience involving bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment, equipment installation, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Manual machining experience, including operation of conventional lathes, mills, drill presses, and related shop equipment used to fabricate, modify, or repair machine components.
