This role involves dismantling, assembling, and fabricating general plant equipment such as mills, pulverizers, conveyors, crushers, and rotating equipment. The position requires diagnosing and repairing this equipment, handling heavy units, and making decisions about salvaging or scrapping parts. A key aspect of the job is repairing, fabricating, or improving metals through welding and cutting. The millwright/welder will work from blueprints, verbal instructions, or original ideas, and may be required to assist other crafts. The role may involve working at heights and in confined spaces, with minimal supervision, and in various plant environments that can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
