The Industrial Meter Repair Technician (Lead Technician) is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing a meter service truck, assisting team members, and performing field work. This includes testing, repairing, rebuilding, installing, and changing out water meters (1½” to 12”), locating and repairing leaks, servicing fire lines, valves, registers, endpoints, and other related components. The role often requires working in confined spaces and meter vaults up to 15 feet deep, using specialized tools and power equipment in outdoor environments. The technician also responds to customer service requests, investigates service-related issues, and documents all work performed. This is a physically demanding role requiring stamina, precision, technical skill, sound decision-making, and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service, especially in high-pressure or emergency situations.
