About The Position

This role involves inspecting assemblies for conformance to specifications, performing complex mechanical assembly and system integration, and acting as a subject matter expert for mechanical systems and processes. The technician will identify and troubleshoot assembly issues or product defects, making necessary adjustments. Additionally, the role includes leading training programs, delegating work, coordinating technician resources, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while supporting basic business KPI understanding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience in mechanical assembly

Responsibilities

• Inspect assemblies for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments and make adjustments to ensure proper fit and function
• Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify that parts conform to specified tolerances
• Perform complex mechanical assembly and system integration
• Act as subject matter expert for mechanical systems and processes
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues or product defects, making necessary adjustments to components or processes to resolve them
• Lead training programs and skill development
• Delegate work and coordinate technician resources
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Support basic business KPI understanding
