About The Position

Summary The Mechanic at the Conda Pump Station is responsible for safely performing maintenance, repairs, and operational support on pump station, pipeline transportation, and auxiliary equipment in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Prior experience in slurry transportation (pumping, agitation, etc.).
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • Ability to clearly communicate issues and technical information.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs routinely and 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Perform climbing, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and work at heights.
  • Good depth perception, hand‑eye coordination, and eyesight correctable to 20/40.

Nice To Haves

  • Structural and pipe welding certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company and pump station policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on pipeline and auxiliary equipment.
  • Provide backup operations support as needed.
  • Conduct assigned safety rounds and complete necessary repairs and cleanup.
  • Minimize risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
  • Operate computerized control systems, monitoring equipment, and support systems.
  • Understand pump station equipment layout, flow schemes, parts inventory, and warehouse procedures.
  • Safely operate and maintain natural gas systems, electrical switchgear, emergency generator power, and UP&L transfer processes.
  • Perform lubrication, vibration analysis, computerized alignment, and hydraulic system adjustments.
  • Safely use compressed gases, oxygen/acetylene cutting equipment, arc welding tools, and hydraulic torque systems.
  • Perform advanced maintenance on Geho and NOV pumps, including isolation, priming, diaphragm changes, valve replacement, safety valve changes, dampener charging, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, parts manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Weld (structural and pipe welding certifications preferred).
  • Operate mobile and lift equipment including loaders, man lifts, forklifts, and lift trucks.
  • Enter work orders and requisitions accurately.
  • Work rotating shifts in a team environment with limited supervision.
