About The Position

The industrial mechanic will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of machinery and electrical equipment. This role involves performing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems work, ensuring preventive maintenance of equipment, and making diagnostics. The mechanic will dismantle/assemble, repair, replace, modify, calibrate, and adjust mechanisms specific to various machines. They will also test and check the mechanical condition of motors (AC/DC/three phase), switchgear, and other electrical equipment using test and measurement equipment. A proactive commitment to quality, adherence to work instructions, prevention of quality issues, and prompt reporting of any issues found are essential. The role also requires actively promoting, following, and taking responsibility for health and safety practices in all aspects of the job. All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Professional or college diploma (DEC) in industrial mechanic.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field.
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a group
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different situations
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to lift and push 50 pounds, 50 times per day.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Being autonomous and have a sense of initiative.
  • Master the French and English language (subcontractors from the United States).

Responsibilities
