About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic with rigging and millwright experience to join our team. This role is crucial for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy machinery and industrial equipment within our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and precision work, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production facilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance or millwright work in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy production environment.
• Proficient in reading mechanical blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and isometric piping drawings.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic power units, pneumatic systems, power transmission, and precision bearing installation.
• Hands-on experience with laser alignment systems and dial indicators.
• Proficient in stick (SMAW) and MIG welding.
• Proficient in oxy-fuel torch operation.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Comfortable working at heights (ladders, elevated platforms, scissor lifts) and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to stand, kneel, bend, and crawl for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Journeyworker Millwright Card / Red Seal Certification.
• Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble heavy machinery, structural steel, and precision equipment by reading blueprints, schematic drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Perform routine inspections, lubrication, vibration monitoring, and precision alignment on rotating assets.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in hydraulic/pneumatic systems, power transmission components, valves, and seals.
• Safely operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and rigging gear to move and set industrial machinery.
• Perform basic welding (SMAW/MIG/TIG), cutting, and fabrication for repairs and construction of machine components and piping.
• Conduct precision shaft alignment, leveling, and soft-foot corrections.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA standards, LOTO, Hot Work permits, and Confined Space Entry procedures.
• Document work orders, parts usage, and machine history in the CMMS.
