About The Position

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright for our facility located in Harrow, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented tradesperson who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in hands-on technical work while contributing to a strong culture of safety and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (433A) required.
  • Minimum of five years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Trade or technical school diploma in Welding, Blueprint Reading, Hydraulics, Mechanical Maintenance, or related field preferred.
  • Certified welder (Plate, 3G, or related certifications) preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills related to industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and production equipment issues.
  • Computer literacy and experience with SAP or other CMMS systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting safe work practices in accordance with regulatory agencies and company policy.
  • Ability to work in various plant environments, including elevated areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and tools as required.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Ability to perform work in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and promote safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, company policies, and regulatory standards (e.g., Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash procedures).
  • Perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance on plant equipment and systems, including power systems, drives, and production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical drives and manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Weld, cut, and fabricate components required for equipment repairs and installations.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Prepare detailed maintenance reports and maintain accurate work orders within SAP or other maintenance management systems.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to support plant production and maintenance needs.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance reliability and plant performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
  • Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.
