About The Position

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)s with shovel and drill maintenance experience for future job openings. This is a full-time hourly position based at their operations in the Elk Valley, near Sparwood, B.C. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment problems to ensure the highest availability and reliability of mining fleets. Responsibilities include performing scheduled preventative maintenance, optimizing PM procedures, developing job plans, and maintaining accurate records in the work order system. The position requires adherence to health and safety programs, including wearing a respirator when necessary, and working collaboratively with other trades and contractors. The role is site-based and requires the ability to commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C.

Requirements

Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification
Valid driver's license
Comfortable working in an outdoor setting in all weather conditions
Ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C.

Nice To Haves

Previous mining experience is an asset
Experience Maintenance Technician with a background in mining equipment

Responsibilities

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Wear a respirator when mandatory for certain components of the role
Work closely with all other trades, contractors, and other skill sets to acquire the highest availability and reliability of our fleets
Perform all associated duties including regular scheduled preventative maintenance, PM optimization, procedure development, parts requirements, and job plans
Adhere to established maintenance procedures; maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs in the work order system.
