About The Position

Stantec’s North America Water team is seeking an Industrial Market Leader to advance the growth and development of the Industrial Water market. The role is part of the Water leadership team and works closely with Industrial Water Business Center Practice Leads and relevant Sector Leads. The Market Leader uses knowledge of industry drivers and market trends to strengthen client relationships, address gaps in market presence and technical competencies, and differentiate Stantec in the marketplace. The role also leads a community of practice to encourage knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration among subject matter experts, pursuit teams, and project teams. The position identifies, prioritizes, and helps develop key Industrial clients and opportunities across North America. It aligns growth, business development, and delivery teams to support account management, opportunity capture, and delivery of strategic Industrial work. The role’s focus areas include strategy and market growth; business development and sales; client and account management; leadership, communication, and collaboration across the industrial community of practice; and delivery coordination, industrial water contracts and compliance oversight, and resource planning. The Industrial Market Leader collaborates with Stantec Growth, Operations, and Delivery teams to develop and execute an annual business plan for Industrial Water; prioritizes key clients and strategic opportunities across North America; and works with regional teams and Water Strategic Pursuits to position for and capture strategic industrial water pursuits. Performance is assessed in part through Industrial Water business plan targets, account management plans, health and safety goals, net sales and annual net revenue growth, and business integration, cross-business selling, and delivery goals. The position may be based at any Stantec location across North America.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or a related field.
At least 15 years of Industrial Water experience in multidisciplinary environments.
Demonstrated people and business leadership capability.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and convey information clearly to varied audiences.
Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and project implementation skills.

Collaborate with Growth, Operations, and Delivery teams to develop and execute an annual Industrial Water business plan.
Prepare and execute account management plans for key industrial clients in coordination with other Business Operating Units.
Work with regional teams and Water Strategic Pursuits to position for and capture strategic industrial water pursuits.
Coordinate delivery, industrial water contracts and compliance oversight, and resource planning.
Support achievement of business integration, cross-business selling, delivery, and health and safety goals.
