About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance worker moves around the production floor, performing preventative maintenance and repairs on various production machines.

Requirements

  • One (1) year experience in Industrial Maintenance setting, or competition of post high school Industrial Maintenance program.
  • Hours: Start times may vary, normally 8 hour shifts per day. (Overtime may be required)
  • Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
  • Will be required to work with and understand hydraulic, air, electrical, and other systems in the plant.
  • Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions and follow blueprint, wiring diagrams and service manuals and fill out written reports.
  • Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math calculations.
  • Effective time management skills to achieve results through prioritizing demands.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks and a willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding- ability to arc and heli weld
  • Electrical- experience with 3-phase writing, electrical controls, and troubleshooting PLC’s
  • Refrigeration- familiar with ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Utilities- understand operation of Boilers and Air Compressors

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains mechanical, air, electrical and hydraulic components of various equipment such as processing, blow molding, filling and material handling equipment, following blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications and using hand tools, power tools, welders and precision measuring instruments.
  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system, using hand tools and power tools, and following blueprints, diagram, and service manuals.
  • Re-aligns and adjusts components, such as spindles and clutches, using hand tools and following diagrams.
  • Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
  • Works with operators to start machines and equipment to test operations following repair.
  • Repairs broken parts, using brazing, soldering, and welding equipment and hand tools.
  • May modify computer-controlled functions on various equipment.
